About Our Business System: Franchising

Franchising is one of the most effective systems for the distribution of goods and services. It combines the entrepreneurial drive of a small investor with the business experiences and resources of a larger company resulting in a rewarding partnership for both parties.

A new franchise opens every seven minutes. This translates into more than 70,000 business start-ups each year. Franchise owners are provided access to years of business experience and successful programs. They sell products and services that are well accepted in most markets and are associated with a brand name that is already familiar in many circles. Because the foundation and operation of a successful business has already been established, franchisees are more apt to experience desired success.

In contrast to opening an independent business, buying a franchise is an investment not only in the franchisee’s company, but in the franchising company as well. As the franchise network expands, individual franchises can build greater equity. Government statistics show that success rates of franchises are significantly higher than those of independent start-up businesses.

When a franchise is purchased, the franchisee joins a team. Members of that team share mutual goals and work together to build the organizations’ power and image while reducing common expenses. As a member of this team, the franchisee accelerates the acquisition of knowledge of products, services, technology and other issues. The franchisee can become proficient at his/her business in less time and at a lower cost than an independent business owner.

Franchising is a widely accepted business strategy. It provides a small business owner the opportunity to stay small, yet benefit from the information, support, leverage and accountability that a larger, experienced organization can provide. Businesses with these advantages generally perform better.

Franchising involves initial and ongoing fees. These fees maintain the support and marketing organization that, in turn, lends history, experience, expertise, tools, and training to your business.

The 10 til 2 Franchise fee is $25,000. The term of the license is for ten years and may be renewed if the franchisee is in compliance with the franchise agreement.

Franchising involves personal risk. The franchise agreement must be signed personally. The franchisee acknowledges responsibility for the success of the business and that proper management is essential.

The franchisor does not guarantee success.

Franchising involves standards. These standards exist to uphold the reputation of the business and to bring the best out of our businesses. Franchisors retain the right to maintain operational and marketing guidelines for their franchisees.

Franchisees are required to operate their businesses in accordance with methods and systems developed by 10 til 2 Franchising, LLC.

Franchisees are required to attend and complete training.

Franchisees must purchase supplies and equipment from approved suppliers.

Franchisees are required to establish and maintain records that conform to the franchisors specifications.

Franchisees are required to advertise with approved methods facilitating productive quality and quantity of advertising region wide.

You must be prepared to face risk and possible losses as your business develops.

Owning a franchise involves operating in a designated territory.

Respecting the rights and privileges of other franchisees is a matter of courtesy and cooperation and fuels the power of a good marketing organization.

Your franchise agreement grants you a specific location and a protected territory. While you operate, and should you cease to operate your 10 til 2 business, you are bound to a non-compete and non-disclosure agreement. While you are exploring this business, you are responsible to develop your own sales revenue projections.

Franchisees must purchase, maintain and show proof of adequate insurance coverage.

IMPORTANT: A complete description of the franchise offering, standards, methods and agreements are contained in the 10 til 2 Disclosure document. We encourage you to review this document before you sign a franchise agreement.

"Throughout my 28+ years struggling to fulfill the demands of both motherhood and full-time employment, I felt terrible every time I missed my children’s school events. But there just weren’t any employment options in my field that would give me the flexibility I needed. Finally last year, when I had to call on a neighbor at the last minute to buy a cake and supervise my youngest child’s birthday bash because my flight home from a business trip was delayed for several hours, I decided things had to change. I had previously explored other franchising opportunities but none of them met all of my needs and goals. Finding 10 til 2 was the answer to my prayers. It’s very exciting to be in a position to strengthen businesses in Utah by helping them find talented, enthusiastic, and experienced staff while simultaneously helping to maintain strong families. Also, I can’t say enough good things about the four women who founded 10 til 2. They are a great team and they are wonderful leaders. Their help and support has been invaluable to me as I have started up my 10 til 2 franchise. I am honored to be working with such incredible women."
