10 til 2

Franchisee Testimonials

Stephanie Sloim, Greater Boulder, CO Franchise Owner
“I bought the 10 til 2 franchise in September 2006 after my husband saw a 10 til 2 franchise opportunity ad in our local paper. I called the company and spoke to the VP of Franchise Sales and immediately loved the concept and asked for the UFOC. After reviewing all of the information I just knew that 10 til 2 was the perfect business for me. As a college graduate with a business degree and previous owner of retail and service businesses, I immediately saw the potential a 10 til 2 franchise could have in the Greater Boulder area. 10 til 2 was extremely easy to start! After the initial week of training in Denver, they helped me put together a marketing plan which really worked and I got my first client in October and it hasn’t slowed down since! As a stay at home mom myself, I love the fact that as a 10 til 2 franchise owner I am helping other stay at home moms get back into the work force and in the process I am helping small businesses fill a very important need.”

Kathy Ackerman, Greater Lansing, MI Franchise Owner
“As a busy mom, I have long had an interest in alternative ways of work, and in 1983 was featured in a Forbes magazine cover story entitled "It's 8:45---Do you know where your employees are?" As my family grew from a son to include twins, I continued to balance work and family in some unusual ways, owning several different businesses. While attending my son’s college graduation in Boulder, CO, so many years after that article, I read about 10 til 2 and immediately was interested in bringing the franchise to Michigan. My worry was that it was too simple and sensible a concept----hasn't everyone figured this out by now? But people are always asking where we were when their kids were little....and now as they look towards retirement, they are glad to see us here as well. In Michigan, jobs are scarce, but we are excited to be part of new job creation in our state. Most of the time our positions are brand new, with the employer being just a bit too skittish to commit to a full-time person, but usually open to the idea that the job can grow. We look forward to helping parents and retirees find meaningful work while offering our employers the bargain of the century with the talent of our employees.”

Ginny Teel, Northern Colorado Franchise Owner
“With my father’s entrepreneurial blood and having owned a business in the ‘90s, I had been looking for the right business opportunity to come along. In September 2006, I saw a small 10 til 2 advertisement in the local paper offering a franchising opportunity. Although my career has been exclusively in financial executive and consulting positions, as a “baby boomer”, I thought the concept behind 10 til 2 not only was perfect for parents seeking quality, part-time employment opportunities, it also fit my generation. My generation has years of experience and much to offer a potential employer. Yet, we are ready to “wind it down” a bit and add more balance in our lives. I contacted 10 til 2, spoke extensively with Jodi Olin, received the UFOC and spent several hours with my attorney reviewing the document. In December 2006, I signed the franchise agreement and became the fourth 10 til 2 franchise. The four founders are amazing women who are so supportive and really want to see their franchisees succeed. My candidate database grows daily with amazing, highly-skilled candidates just waiting for their own part time professional job. The positive reception I’m receiving from the Northern Colorado business community continues to be overwhelming.”

Linnore Gonzales, Southwest Denver, CO Franchise Owner
“Before I became I 10 til 2 franchise owner, I was a satisfied 10 til 2 client! As a small business owner, I know how effective a qualified employee can be in the survival and growth of a small business. I was desperately looking for help when I came across the 10 til 2 magazine ad. I was thrilled that a company that specializes in long-term part time placement is available to me. At that time I remembered thinking how nice it would be to have a business that has a great concept of providing qualified part time employees to businesses who are in dire need of help but could not afford to have full-time employees. It was also nice to know that opportunities are available for individuals who want to go back to the workforce but could still not or prefer not to go back full-time.
In the summer of 2006, my husband and I were looking for another business opportunity and came across the 10 til 2 ad again. This time the ad not only mentioned the great benefits of 10 til 2, but also had a blurb that franchises were available for sale. I was so excited that I called that same day for information and after reviewing the UFOC documents and doing my own due diligence, I signed up to be the first franchisee. 10 til 2 provides extensive training, on-going support and resources that are essential to the success of my 10 til 2 business unit. The systems and processes they have in place helped me tremendously to jump-start and continue to grow my franchise unit. My other business is still a satisfied 10 til 2 client and now, I can also say that I am a very happy and satisfied 10 til 2 franchise owner!”

Angela Martin, Columbus, OH Franchise Owner
“In the Columbus area there is a huge need for a place where educated, skilled workers can go to find professional, part-time jobs. Among parents, it’s a popular topic of conversation at parks, playgrounds, and moms groups. I’ve asked myself that very question for years, “Where can I go to find that perfect professional part-time job?” Now we all have an answer, 10 til 2, The Part-Time Placement Service.”

Scott Eby & Denise Crews, Virginia Peninsula, VA Franchise Owners
“We read about 10 til 2 and knew that opening an office on the Peninsula, where we were raised, is how we could give back to the community. We knew that the 10 til 2 concept is what this area needs. We will help college educated parents find part-time work during school hours, while helping area businesses tap into an amazing work force that isn’t available anywhere else! We also see helping the large population of college educated early retirees and students who will also benefit from the service that 10 til 2 provides”

Martha Lieberman, N. Central Phoenix, AZ Franchise Owner
“When my daughter was born 16 years ago, I was fortunate to be able to transition to part-time work. Now, companies are more eager to create part-time positions. They understand that so many people – including moms, dads and retirees – have skills and experiences to offer and want more choices in creating a better work/life balance. I’m very excited to have a company which will focus on helping everyone create more options in the workplace.”

Wendee Clemons, Southeast Houston, TX Franchise Owner
“Family will always come first for me as a wife and mother. On the other hand, I also feel strongly about having a personal/professional outlet. I have been fortunate to have managed both family and work. Now with opening the Southeast Houston 10 til 2 office, I can help other parents achieve that balance while providing local businesses with highly skilled and qualified part-time employees.”

Nelda Kane, West Valley/Phoenix, AZ Franchise Owner
I read about 10 til 2 in AZ Parenting Magazine sitting in the waiting room of the Pediatrician’s office. I had recently left the corporate world to stay home with my children and was looking for something part-time where I could utilize my Accounting background. I knew that there were other men and women in my area that were struggling with the same issues. Additionally there is a large boomer population and I wanted to be able to help those that realized that retirement wasn’t exactly what they expected. My husband and I discussed the article and decided to call and see what the investment would be to open a franchise. I knew that this was something that the West Valley needed. I wasn’t so sure that I wanted a franchise, but after researching and talking with 10 til 2 I knew that this was the direction that I should be going. Everyone at 10 til 2 was so helpful in answering questions through the whole process of acquiring the franchise. The week of training in Denver was great. The training was hands-on and alive with applicable real-life experience from all of the founders. After training the support continued. It is so nice to know that help is just a phone call away.

Jodi Towns, NE/SE Phoenix, AZ Franchise Owner
“As a college-educated, stay-at-home mother of 2 children, I was drawn to 10 til 2’s business model the moment I read about it. I knew immediately that businesses and professionals in the Phoenix metro area could greatly benefit from the services 10 til 2 provides. I needed to be part of that cutting-edge organization. I was fortunate to have the four company founders visit Phoenix to provide information on franchise opportunities in my area. As soon as I left that meeting, I knew this was the perfect opportunity for me and I couldn’t wait to get started. I knew some way, some how I was going to jump in with both feet and start my own 10 til 2 franchise! I’ve never looked back and opened my 10 til 2 franchise in July 2007 as soon as I returned home from training. I was fortunate to get my first client and placement within a couple of months of opening and my business is growing bigger everyday!”

Betsy Knoke, Indianapolis, IN Franchise Owner
“I had the idea for a 10 til 2 business years ago when I was looking for a part-time position in a professional field. When I found out about 10 til 2 in Denver, I felt very strongly that I needed to bring this family friendly business to Indianapolis. 10 til 2 provides an excellent solution to many people’s problem of finding part-time employment in professional fields. In turn, employers are getting dedicated, college-educated employees which results in a win-win situation for everyone. I’m very excited about providing this service in Indianapolis. The training and support that I have received has been awesome.”

Terrie Nolen, West Chicagoland, IL Franchise Owner
“After staying at home for nine years caring for my family, it was time for me to start contributing again financially. Besides that, I was ready to get back to work. Before leaving the workforce, I commuted to Chicago from the western suburbs. With three children, that commute is no longer an option for me. I knew that I still needed something that would not take me too far away from home, yet still be flexible enough to continue our current family life style. I looked around for a job that would work for me, but to no avail. Last year while in the waiting room at my doctor’s office, I read an article in Family Circle magazine about the founders of 10 til 2. Eureka! This was the answer I had been searching for! I can’t count the number of times I have had conversations with other parents about the difficulty of having a work / life balance. After reading the article, I couldn’t stop thinking about 10 til 2, and what a void it fills for so many people like me. I started my business and the response in my area so far has been amazing! Needless to say, I am very excited, and expecting to do extremely well in my new venture with 10 til 2.”

Ramona Walden, Dallas/Mid-Cities, TX Franchise Owner
“I believe 10 til 2 can revolutionize the way business is done and once and for all solve the work/life balance problem. Having been a corporate manager for years and embracing flexible work arrangements, I benefited from loyal and committed employees. There is a market for the skills of 10 til 2 candidates and it has been largely untapped. And, society will benefit when people are less stressed about work and have time for the things that are important to them.”
